About the role
As Crusoe’s Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for the preparation, assembly, and continuous improvement of processes for products and parts manufactured on-site. This role is crucial for maintaining production efficiency and ensuring the high quality of finished goods. You will play a direct role in the manufacturing process, from initial assembly to final packaging and shipment.
Responsibilities
- Assembly and Fabrication: Work with basic hand tools and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), including drilling and tapping of metal. Follow work instructions to assemble parts/assemblies within allocated timeframes while meeting quality standards (zero defects).
- Quality Assurance and Documentation: Ensure Quality Check Sheets are completed to company standards before final packaging. Photograph projects to provide quality history.
- Packaging and Shipping: Obtain shipping invoices and packing slips. Package all items being shipped per the procedures and packing requirements. Palletize and band product, ensuring proper packaging so the product arrives to the customer in the same quality it left the facility.
- Production Tracking and Communication: Update the Team Status Board to reflect work order status and note all quality, safety, and improvements encountered. Work as a team to coordinate workflow and accomplish daily goals and objectives. Ensure that daily production status, concerns, and issues are communicated directly to the appropriate person and role.
- Material Handling: Load and unload delivery trucks. Use a pallet jack or forklift to move material throughout the shop.
Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or GED.
- Experience and Skills: 0-2+ years of experience reading and interpreting Mechanical drawing/Blueprint packages. Ability to read and understand a wide range of blueprints. Must have mechanical aptitude. Must be detail oriented. Performs as a team player, always showing a positive attitude towards clients and coworkers, and strives for constant improvement in process and delivery.
Physical Requirements
- Requires lifting, lowering, pushing, and pulling all sizes of merchandise up to 50 lbs.
- Requires the ability to stand, walk, stoop, & bend for 8 hours or more daily.
- Requires constant use of arms, hands, fingers, eyes, legs, and back.
Safety and Compliance
- This position is designated a safety-sensitive position and/or is located in a safety-sensitive facility. Drug and alcohol program participation is required. Must be able to pass a background check.
Bonus Points
- Ability to check and modify drawings as needed.
- Forklift experience.
- Proficiency in the use of basic hand tools, including drills, impact drivers, torque wrenches, angle grinders, saws, and nail guns.
- Electro-Mechanical experience.
- ISO 9001:2015 experience.

Compensation
Compensation will be paid in the range of $20-26/hour + Bonus. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Compensation to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
