Assembly Technician

Responsibilities

• Assemble, test and paint wellhead and frac rental equipment
• Practice safe work habits and comply with quality, safety, health and environmental policies
• Inspect, operate and test completed products to verify function and conformance
• Position and align components for assembly manually or using hoists
• Torque connections using manual and hydraulic torque wrenches
• Adjust, repair, rework or replace parts and assemblies to eliminate malfunctions and ensure proper operation
• Read and interpret assembly drawings or standard operating procedures
• Maintain and lubricate parts or components
• Perform other regular duties as assigned or requested

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; or a minimum of 2 years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Basic computer proficiency
• 3+ years of experience in the oil and gas industry
• Experience with drilling and production equipment
• Knowledge of wellhead and frac rental equipment
• Valid driver's license required

Physical Demands

• Able to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear
• Able to use hands to finger, handle, or feel
• Able to regularly lift up to 10 lbs, frequently lift up to 25 lbs, and occasionally lift up to 40 lbs
• Able to close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

Work Environment

• Able to work in an inspection and assembly environment with occasional exposure to loud noise, heavy equipment, temperature extremes, electrical equipment, and high-pressure testing
