Job Purpose
This position is responsible for a variety of assembly functions in preparing automotive drive-train components and any related processes including painting, welding, material handling, problem-solving and training. The assembly technician must support our 100% on time delivery goal; our 100% quality rating goal and our production standards.
Key Accountabilities
- Ability to visually recognize the difference in parts
- Ability to use hands to perform simple operations
- Ability to use hand tools
- Ability to stand for the duration of your shift
- Ability to lift 5 - 75 lbs. on a frequent basis
- Ability to bend, twist, reach, push, pull, grasp, and pinch on a continual basis
- Ability to work with oils and lubricants
- Ability to read and interpret instruction sheets
- Ability to operate multi function machinery
- Ability to work with or without supervision
Educational Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalency (GED)
Additional Requirements
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Strong team skills
- Must be able to complete and pass pre-hire training program
- Available to work any of the 3 available shifts
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
