About the role

Join a cutting-edge manufacturing team supporting the assembly and testing of next-generation drone technology. As a Manufacturing Assembly Technician, you will play a critical role in the production process by assembling drone components, installing wiring and hardware, executing product testing, and ensuring finished products meet quality and performance standards. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on technical work, have strong attention to detail, and thrive in a fast-paced production environment. You will work closely with manufacturing, operations, and engineering teams to support production readiness, maintain product quality, and identify opportunities for process improvement.

Responsibilities

Drone Assembly & Production Support (70%)

  • Assemble drone aircraft components using hand tools and detailed work instructions.
  • Install parts, hardware, fasteners, wiring, and bonded components while ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Follow established assembly procedures and production processes.
  • Use computer-based systems to access work instructions, track parts, document build activities, and maintain accurate production records.
  • Ensure correct parts and materials are used throughout the assembly process.
  • Support day-to-day manufacturing operations for assigned assembly areas.
  • Collaborate with production and operations teams to support production readiness and workflow execution.
  • Identify and communicate opportunities to improve assembly processes, quality, and efficiency.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Product Testing & Quality Support (25%)

  • Set up and execute testing procedures and test scripts on completed drone assemblies.
  • Perform basic electronic and functional testing to verify product performance and compliance.
  • Document testing results and communicate issues identified during testing.
  • Support troubleshooting activities and rework efforts as needed.
  • Ensure products meet established quality and operational standards before release.

Inventory & Administrative Support (5%)

  • Assist with inventory tracking and material management activities as needed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and production records.
  • Support special projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in manufacturing, assembly, production, or related technical environments.
  • Hands-on experience using hand tools and assembly equipment.
  • Experience with fastening, attaching, bonding, fit-and-finish work, and basic electronic testing.
  • Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions and technical documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Basic computer proficiency and experience entering production data into tracking systems.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in aerospace, drone, or consumer electronics assembly.
  • Previous inventory management or material tracking experience.
  • Familiarity with production tracking systems or manufacturing software.
  • Two or more years of manufacturing or assembly experience preferred.
