PBS Aerospace is looking for an Aerospace Assembly Supervisor for jet engines. The position plays a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day assembly process of our UAV jet engines in our newly created jet engine manufacturing, assembly, and test facility to meet high volume output targets and unparalleled quality. Key Responsibilities Leadership: Manage a team of 15+ first shift technicians involved in assembly of jet engines. Ensure output targets are met consistently. Lead with transparency and accountability. Team Management: Train and mentor assembly technicians on job duties, company policies, and safety measures. Evaluate employee performance and provide feedback.Quality Control: Monitor the assembly process to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. Conduct process inspections and tests to verify the functionality and highest quality standard of assembled components.Resource Management: Oversee the shop floor inventory of parts and supplies needed for assembly to ensure 100% uptime. Coordinate with other departments to ensure a seamless production process.Production Reporting and Planning: Report daily on achieved production output and any roadblocks preventing targets from being reached. Establish a daily and monthly resource planning schedule for all assembly activities.LEAN Manufacturing: Participate in Gemba walks and Kaizen events. Ensure 5S compliance of all workstations. Create visual management boards to communicate with all PBSA team members daily. Monitor daily KPIs and take appropriate actions as necessary.Continuous Improvement: Provide ideas for continuous improvement of shop floor operations and be instrumental in implementation of those ideas. Problem-Solving: Address and resolve any issues that arise during the assembly process. Implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences. Qualifications 5+ years of experience managing teams of 10+ employees in aerospace or industrial manufacturing or assembly. Experience in Aerospace jet engines a plus. Hands on experience with Mechanical and/or Electrical assembly.Experience in aerospace, aviation, defense, automotive or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.Self-starter with ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency in using assembly tools and equipment.Direct experience with ERP systems. Knowledge of safety and quality standards in manufacturing. ISO 9001 or AS9100 working experience.Experience or certification in LEAN methodology is a plus.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Requirements And Work Environment Because this is an ITAR compliant facility the applicant must be a US citizen to be considered for that position.10% of international travel to Europe may be required.Typically, in a manufacturing facility the environment can be noisy and requires the use of protective gear.The role may involve standing, walking, and lifting, and can be physically demanding.Able to lift to 50 pounds.
