About the Role
We are seeking an effective and motivated Assembly Supervisor to delegate work, oversee progress towards goals, and coach team members as needed.
Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate the team.
- Manage the team’s production.
- Manage performance and solve problems.
- Care for the health, safety and welfare of the team.
- Foster open communication.
- Create a positive work environment.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Experience supervising and/or leading teams in a manufacturing environment.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Ability to learn how to effectively use database systems such as ERPs.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and with others in a team environment.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Works with minimal supervision. Issues and concerns need to be communicated to supervisor.
Qualifications
- Previous supervisory and/or experience leading teams in a manufacturing environment.
- Basic computer skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Lifting: Occasionally raises objects from a lower to a higher position or moves objects horizontally from position-to-position. Weight is usually less than 20 lbs.
- Push/Pull: Occasionally uses upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, haul, or tug objects in a sustained motion. Weight is usually less than 20 lbs.
- Reaching: Extends hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction. Weight is usually less than 20 lbs.
- Stooping: Bends body downward and forward at the waist. Weight is usually less than 20 lbs.
- Standing: Standing for moderate levels of time. Infrequently more than 30 minutes at a time.
- Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks. Infrequently more than 30 minutes at a time.
- Manual dexterity is needed to operate a variety of machinery and equipment.
- Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and tolerate exposure to typical noises and smells associated with the plant.
