About the role
The Assembly Production Supervisor oversees daily production operations, ensuring efficiency, quality standards, and safety compliance while managing floor staff. Key duties include scheduling workflows, training employees, troubleshooting machinery, and achieving production goals.
Responsibilities
- Works with all functions within the organization to drive continuous improvement and establish a culture of excellence in execution and communication
- Recognizes and solves problems affecting operations to improve performance and quality of services
- Plans and maintains schedules, directs the work of employees, and trains
- Provides direction, coaching, counseling, and leadership to all direct reports to motivate employees
- Improves performance, enhances service quality, and heightens employee effectiveness
- Performs a variety of tasks and relies on experience to plan and accomplish goals
- Possesses a general understanding of all areas within the organization and works with experts in those areas
- Leads a production team to meet and exceed targets related to People, Safety, Environment, Quality, Delivery, and Cost
- Coordinates production activities with purchasing, maintenance/facilities, engineering, and quality control to optimize team members, schedules, and production equipment
- Engages with engineering team to utilize capacity models and assess constraints as projected demand changes
- Performs administrative duties such as regular employee meetings, timekeeping/attendance/vacation requests, performance appraisals (input with manager), disciplinary actions, interviewing, rewards & recognition, training and development
- Manages Production and Deliveries to target levels
- Achieves a culture of excellence in execution, continuous improvement, and communication
- Assists Production Manager by providing data and analysis on production, quality control, maintenance, and operational issues to determine causes of non-conformities
- Ensures compliance to the training plans, procedures, and industry regulations
- Supports and drives lean principles throughout the manufacturing floor
- Maintains a safe operating environment
Requirements
- Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
- Minimum of 2 - 3 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a manufacturing or fabrication environment
- Previous management/supervisory experience preferred
- Good communication skills
- Able to anticipate potential problems, both internal and external, to the specific department(s) being supervised

Benefits
- Salary Range (annual): $73,000 - $95,000
- Includes a variety of benefits, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business
- Depending on the role, may include eligibility for restricted stock unit awards and participation in a discretionary bonus program
