Assembly Production Manager

Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily assembly production operations; set priorities and ensure output meets schedule, quality, and safety standards.
- Supervise Production Supervisors and Line Leaders; support staffing, scheduling, and performance management.
- Monitor and drive KPIs (OLE, productivity, quality, labor efficiency); implement corrective actions as needed.
- Cook up work orders, capacity planning, and labor allocation to meet daily and monthly demand.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, GMP/GDP, and company policies; conduct routine floor walks.
- Oversee WIP inventory accuracy and production reporting; maintain data integrity.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, 5S) to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Facilitate daily production meetings; communicate goals, issues, and performance updates to leadership.
- Support onboarding, training, and skills development; maintain training matrix and workforce readiness.
- Partner cross-functionally (Operations, Quality, Supply Chain) to optimize materials, processes, and output.
Job Qualifications/Requirements
- Able to make the tough decisions
- Bachelor's degree in related field or minimum of 10 years with related assembly manufacturing experience
- 5 years in a leadership role, leading Production Supervisors and Line Leads
- Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings
- 3 years of experience in Mechanical assembly is a plus
- Effective communication skills preferred
- Must be able to read and work from drawings and work instructions, have a good mechanical aptitude in math
- Basic knowledge of "5S" and lean manufacturing required
- English/Spanish spoken
- Must be able to plan, schedule and adjust on the fly
