Assembly Production Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily assembly production operations; set priorities and ensure output meets schedule, quality, and safety standards.
  • Supervise Production Supervisors and Line Leaders; support staffing, scheduling, and performance management.
  • Monitor and drive KPIs (OLE, productivity, quality, labor efficiency); implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Cook up work orders, capacity planning, and labor allocation to meet daily and monthly demand.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, GMP/GDP, and company policies; conduct routine floor walks.
  • Oversee WIP inventory accuracy and production reporting; maintain data integrity.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, 5S) to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Facilitate daily production meetings; communicate goals, issues, and performance updates to leadership.
  • Support onboarding, training, and skills development; maintain training matrix and workforce readiness.
  • Partner cross-functionally (Operations, Quality, Supply Chain) to optimize materials, processes, and output.

Job Qualifications/Requirements

  • Able to make the tough decisions
  • Bachelor's degree in related field or minimum of 10 years with related assembly manufacturing experience
  • 5 years in a leadership role, leading Production Supervisors and Line Leads
  • Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings
  • 3 years of experience in Mechanical assembly is a plus
  • Effective communication skills preferred
  • Must be able to read and work from drawings and work instructions, have a good mechanical aptitude in math
  • Basic knowledge of "5S" and lean manufacturing required
  • English/Spanish spoken
  • Must be able to plan, schedule and adjust on the fly
