About the role
The Assembly Operator role is located at Coralville, Iowa, and involves performing routine and repetitive assembly operations and processes under direct supervision. The position requires availability for 3rd shift work.
Responsibilities
- Perform machine and/or manual assembly tasks.
- Scope, soldering, and perform computer work as required.
- Execute unique assembly processes.
- Accurately read and follow procedures, routing, and other work instructions.
- Take ownership of the accuracy of processes.
- Meet internal and external customer deadlines as determined by the team.
- Build parts that comply with drawing specifications.
- Comply with applicable elements of quality systems (ACE).
- Demonstrate initiative to keep processes moving and on schedule.
- Understand and use computer tools like SAP and accurately follow work instructions.
- Achieve special process certification where applicable.
- Demonstrate a proactive role in problem-solving.
- Pursue certifications in continuous improvement (ACE).
Qualifications
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- In lieu of a High School Diploma or equivalent, 2 years of relevant experience is required.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
- Must be willing and able to work 2nd shift.
- Candidates must be willing and able to train on 1st shift for up to 4 weeks.
- Ability to read, interpret, and follow documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and assembly instructions.
- Highly motivated and dedicated to exceeding customer expectations.
- Must be able to effectively work in an environment requiring repetitive job responsibilities.
- Ability to focus on safety and quality is extremely important.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
- This position is on 3rd shift.
- Training is typically on 1st shift.
- Candidates must be willing and able to train on 1st shift for up to 4 weeks.
