Roles and Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical and pneumatic components into sub-assemblies across multiple models in each of their respective product lines
• Ensure proper fit of all parts by drilling, grinding, or shimming to adjust to a proper fit
• Interpret and provide feedback on engineering drawings, identifying discrepancies and recommending design improvements
• Diagnose and resolve advanced mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues during assembly and testing
• Move large parts and machines around manufacturing floor using forklift or overhead crane
• Promote teamwork and mentor less experienced team members

Qualifications

• 1 year+ of experience in assembly and manufacturing environment
• Ability to operate equipment, troubleshoot, and problem solve
• Organized with a strong attention to detail, dedicated to quality and safety
• Frequent standing, bending, reaching, lifting up to 50 pounds

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical school training, apprenticeship, or relevant industry certification in mechanical assembly, manufacturing, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience)
• Experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly in wastewater, industrial equipment, or heavy machinery manufacturing
• Leverage of lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement techniques (such as Kaizen, 5S)
