Assembler-Test Technician III

About the role

The Assembler Test Tech III is responsible for the safe handling, installation, and assembly of large steel components to support manufacturing and testing processes.

Responsibilities

• Operating various hand tools, hydraulic equipment, cranes, and forklifts
• Ensuring timely product shipment
• Maintaining a safe, clean work environment
• Preparing material lists
• Assisting with mechanical testing and procedures
• Installing test devices such as strain gauges
• Leading assembly crews
• Traveling to onshore or offshore sites, including hazardous environments

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 4 years of heavy equipment assembly experience

Skills

• Proficiency in reading mechanical drawings and procedures
• Familiarity with hand tools and hydraulic equipment
• Strong safety awareness
• Good communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
• Basic math skills and knowledge of weights, measures, and manufacturing processes
• Ability to work independently, work in elevated/confined spaces, and endure physically demanding shifts

Additional Requirements

• Travel, including offshore and international, sometimes on short notice or extended periods
• Work in extreme weather and hazardous environments with proper PPE
• Must obtain certifications such as TWIC, HUET, offshore water survival, and valid US passport
• Proof of US citizenship is mandatory
