Responsibilities

  • Reads work orders, production drawings, and sample assemblies.
  • Performs crimping, staking, screwing, bolting, riveting, welding, soldering, cementing, pressing, or fitting operations.
  • Mounts assembled components on chassis panels.
  • Installs finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases and cabinets.
  • Attaches hardware such as caps, clamps, knobs, and switches to assemblies.
  • Tends machines that press, shape, or wind component parts.
  • Adjusts or trims materials to achieve specified electrical or dimensional characteristics.
  • Conducts online go-not-go testing and inspections to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications.
  • Inspects work for quality standards before packaging for shipment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and listening.
  • Knowledge of machine operation and maintenance.
  • Basic computer skills with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Understanding of electrical and dimensional characteristics.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant tools and equipment.
  • Experience with calibration software.
  • Ability to follow instructions and specifications.
