Description
- Perform repetitive assembly operations on a variety of fabricated pieces into sub or final assemblies.
- Adjust pieces by trimming, bending, etc., through use of judgment in ensuring a proper fit.
- Check pieces for proper fit, assembly.
- Snap some pieces into place and fasten others with hardware using tools such as screwdrivers, hammers, pliers, wrenches, riveting machines, etc...
- Use hand truck to move skids of pieces to and from work area with finished product packed on containers on skids.
- Remove skids or containers of pieces from assembly benches.
- Read route sheet, verify quantities, and record the start and finish readings, indicating the operation performed on ticket and record time changes.
- Follow prescribed safety practices.

Education and/or Experience
- A high school diploma or general education (GED) preferred.
Skills
- Must be able to read, write in English, and perform basic mathematical functions.
- Required to work from orders, route cards, bills of lading, and packing slips.
- Accuracy required in recording quantities, time, checking, identifying, and recording.
Reasoning Ability
- Ability to use common sense understanding to carry out uninvolved written and oral instructions.
- Capability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations, follow instruction to understand and interpret various records.
Physical Demands
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, crouch, bend, push, pull and use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
- The employee is frequently required to talk or hear.
- Employee is required to lift 50+ lbs and pull, or push equivalent weights.
- Normal mental and visual attention required.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to varying degrees of noise, dust, dirt, grease, water, paint, oil, fumes, seasonal heat and cold.
- PPE REQUIREMENTS: Safety glasses, safety shoes, and hearing protection are required throughout the facility. Gloves and arm guards, are required as job duties mandate.

- Able to work on feet for long periods of time. Regularly required to stand, walk, sit and use hands. Frequently required to crouch, bend, push and pull. May move product up to 50 pounds.
