Assembler

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Positions, aligns and fits up component parts, sub-assemblies, nozzles, flanges and structural members manually or with hoists and lifting equipment.
• Uses hand tools, power tools and shop machinery to cut, grind, fit and assemble parts to specified tolerances.
• Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit and securely fastening parts and sub-assemblies.
• Verifies dimensions and specifications by measuring completed components with calibrated measuring instruments.
• Uses squares, levels, tape measures and layout tools to ensure dimensional accuracy of structural assemblies.
• Assembles structural steel skid bases, pipe racks, equipment supports, platforms, handrails and ladders for oilfield production.
• Cleans and maintains work areas, tools and equipment at the end of each shift, maintains a safe, organized shop environment.
• Comply with all safety policies, codes and regulations to protect the safety and health of all employees.
• Other job duties, as assigned by management.

Required Skills

• Must be able to read measurements and perform basic math for measurements and tolerances.
• Ability to stand, walk, kneel and perform physically demanding and repetitive tasks for extended periods in a manufacturing environment.
• Report to work as scheduled.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to develop and maintain strong work relations with team.
• Must have effective communication skills.
• Works well as a productive and collaborative member of a fabrication team.
• Excellent Organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to work additional hours, including evenings and weekends, as production schedules or customer demand.
• Must be able to build trust and promote a positive safety culture.
• Must be able to lift 75 lbs and perform hand physical demanding work.
• Must be adaptable to changing field conditions and operational demands.
• Must pass a Pre-Employment Drug & Alcohol screening, participate in the random testing pool and remain drug & alcohol free throughout employment.
• Must pass a motor vehicle record check and background check.

Work Environment

• This job operates within an IronWorks, Inc facility during normal or extended business hours.
• This job may require physical exertion, exposure to dust, noise and potential hazards associated within a manufacturing site.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

• This is a full-time position.
• This position regularly requires long hours, after hours and weekend work as job duties demand.

Licenses & Certifications

• Education & Experience:
• - High School Diploma or equivalent
• - Experience operating forklift/skid steer preferred.
