Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Positions, aligns and fits up component parts, sub-assemblies, nozzles, flanges and structural members manually or with hoists and lifting equipment.
- Uses hand tools, power tools and shop machinery to cut, grind, fit and assemble parts to specified tolerances.
- Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit and securely fastening parts and sub-assemblies.
- Verifies dimensions and specifications by measuring completed components with calibrated measuring instruments.
- Uses squares, levels, tape measures and layout tools to ensure dimensional accuracy of structural assemblies.
- Assembles structural steel skid bases, pipe racks, equipment supports, platforms, handrails and ladders for oilfield production.
- Cleans and maintains work areas, tools and equipment at the end of each shift, maintains a safe, organized shop environment.
- Comply with all safety policies, codes and regulations to protect the safety and health of all employees.
- Other job duties, as assigned by management.
Required Skills
- Must be able to read measurements and perform basic math for measurements and tolerances.
- Ability to stand, walk, kneel and perform physically demanding and repetitive tasks for extended periods in a manufacturing environment.
- Report to work as scheduled.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to develop and maintain strong work relations with team.
- Must have effective communication skills.
- Works well as a productive and collaborative member of a fabrication team.
- Excellent Organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to work additional hours, including evenings and weekends, as production schedules or customer demand.
- Must be able to build trust and promote a positive safety culture.
- Must be able to lift 75 lbs and perform hand physical demanding work.
- Must be adaptable to changing field conditions and operational demands.
- Must pass a Pre-Employment Drug & Alcohol screening, participate in the random testing pool and remain drug & alcohol free throughout employment.
- Must pass a motor vehicle record check and background check.

Work Environment
- This job operates within an IronWorks, Inc facility during normal or extended business hours.
- This job may require physical exertion, exposure to dust, noise and potential hazards associated within a manufacturing site.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
- This is a full-time position.
- This position regularly requires long hours, after hours and weekend work as job duties demand.
Licenses & Certifications
- Education & Experience:
- - High School Diploma or equivalent
- - Experience operating forklift/skid steer preferred.
