Assembler (Tanker) - 1st Shift

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is seeking an Assembler (Tanker) for the 1st shift.

Pay

The hourly rate for this position ranges from $26.20 to $27.77 per hour, with a $2.50/hr shift premium for off shifts. Salaries are based on candidate skills, experience, qualifications, market, and business considerations.

Schedule

1st shift hours: 5:00 am – 1:00 pm, with opportunities for overtime.

About the Role

The Tanker Assembler is responsible for assembling tank substations and three-phase, pad-mounted transformers, including all necessary connections to bushings, switches, and related components.

Responsibilities

• Locate and move tanks, parts, and covers to the assembly area
• Assemble bushings and current transformers to cover or tank as specified
• Mount core and coil in tank, bolt in place, clamp cover, and make all electrical connections to bushings
• Mount tap changers, switches, current transformers, and vacuum fault interrupters
• Locate and assemble accessories such as oil level gauges, thermometers, pressure-vacuum gauges, and pressure relief devices
• Check all lead clearances inside the unit and assemble needed spacers or insulating barriers
• Perform resistance testing on small pad-mounted transformers, VFI, and load break switches
• Read and work from blueprints and schematics

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future
• Must live within 50 miles of the Waukesha, WI facility (exemption for Active Duty Military Service members)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation
• Ability to work overtime when required

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of one (1) year of electrical experience
