Assembler (1st Shift)

About the Role

Currently a 1st Shift position involving all aspects of assembly processes, including inventory management, parts pulling, assembling, repair/restock, testing, service, packing, and general clean up.

Responsibilities

• Hand assembly of gear motors, reducers, and adjustable drives
• Maintain parts stock between assembly lines
• Putting up inventory stock and parts pulling
• Repair/restock/warranty evaluations
• Testing and service
• Wash/prep/paint
• Packing, shipping/receiving
• General clean up
• Use calipers, depth, and paint millage gauges
• Visually inspect all work and rework as necessary
• Read and understand supporting documentation for the work area
• Monitor the work area for cleanliness
• Rotate to various jobs within the Assembly Shop

Requirements

• Mechanical aptitude required to assemble gear drives and motors
• Ability to read blueprints
• Ability to use gauges and other measuring equipment to ensure quality work
• Ability to perform basic math operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Ability to perform physical activities such as bending, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and reaching to meet production needs

A 10% shift premium is paid for 2nd and 3rd shift positions. Benefits start on DAY ONE.
