About the role

The Assembler I position at HuFriedyGroup involves assembling medical devices consisting of assemblies and subassemblies containing plastic and machined components using various handheld and power equipment to blueprint specifications. Key responsibilities include performing visual inspections, setting up builds according to work orders, assembling components, conducting leak tests, troubleshooting issues, communicating with engineering, verifying compliance with quality standards, maintaining a clean and organized work area, participating in continuous improvement initiatives, executing engineering work requests, and handling special sample requests.

Responsibilities

  • Perform visual inspection of raw materials and/or production assemblies to meet quality standards.
  • Utilize blueprints to set up each build in accordance to work orders.
  • Assemble components that consist of machined and purchased parts.
  • Perform leak and assembly tests per work instructions.
  • Perform troubleshooting when assemblies don’t pass testing.
  • Communicate with engineering when necessary.
  • Verify assembly is in compliance with quality standards prior to submission to quality assurance.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, organized work area - sustain process improvements that have been implemented into their respective areas.
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement (examples: line-side ideas, kaizens, and projects).
  • Execute Engineering Work Requests and special sample requests.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • One year of manufacturing experience, preferred.
  • Able to lift 30 lbs. maximum.
  • Good dexterity to efficiently work with small parts.
  • Able to sit/stand for long periods of time.
  • Able to bend, stoop, twist, reach, pull, push, and engage in repetitive physical movement.

Qualifications

  • Attention to detail and ability to interpret and follow written instructions.
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal) when working with others.
  • Knowledge of all FDA and ISO9001, and ISO 13485 guidelines.

Skills

  • Read and interpret blueprints, tubing diagrams.
  • Utilize hand and power tools to perform assemblies.

Competitive compensation package based on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

Second shift, 4x10 schedule, Monday-Thursday, 2:45 pm - 1:15 am.
