Assembler Operator

Responsibilities

• Work alone or with others to assemble, fill, kit, prepare, label, or package a product or product component.
• Follow Work Instructions throughout the process.
• Complete work based on specifications, drawings, job routings, and/or Work Instructions.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to understand the bussing requirements for switchgear systems.
• Install busbars within switchgear enclosures, ensuring accurate insulation, grounding, and secure connections.
• Select and move production materials as required.
• Maintain equipment and materials necessary to complete the operation.
• Meet established safety, quality, and performance standards to ensure production schedules are met.
• Record accurate information on Manufacturing Order and perform transactions necessary to maintain accurate records and inventory balances.
• Align with all applicable safety procedures, quality specifications, and 5S Standards.
• Report adverse conditions, non-conforming products/procedures, and 5S violations to the department leader by following the process for addressing critical issues.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Follow the protocol for handling critical issues, alert the team leader or other suitable contacts when concerns arise involving safety, quality, equipment, operations, materials, inventory, documentation, etc.
• Demonstrate flexibility by performing rotational assignments as needed.
• Participate actively as a team member through continuous improvement activities to meet customer needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School Diploma.
• Minimum of 1 year experience as an Assembler, preferred.
• Proficiency in using tools and equipment.
• Ability to read and understand instructions in manuals and blueprints.
• Strong attention to detail.

Pay

Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives. Pay Transparency: nVent’s pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee’s work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply. Compensation Range $14.80 - $27.50 Per Hour.
