Assembler Operator

Key Responsibilities

• Performs all tasks necessary to operate equipment according to procedure.
• Implements customer required quality requirements by performing specified quality checks/inspections per the customer specification.
• Packages and labels finished products according to the Control Plan.
• Performs line clearance at end of order.
• Actively communicates with coworkers – key items within the plant environment on safety, quality, maintenance, production and continuous improvement.
• Fulfills work instructions as needed and may be asked to write, revise and train others to those instructions.
• Conducts root cause analysis when problems arise to determine if actions can be taken immediately or appropriate personnel need to be called.
• Maintains 5S environment in work area, and ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Absolutely achieves established production output requirements.
• Sweeps any debris from work area in the production area and machinery.
• Adheres to plant and corporate safety policies.
• Willingness to work overtime when required.
• Assists in other areas or performs other duties as required by fluctuating business needs.

• Possesses well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast paced and multi-task environment.
• Maintains positive team environment.
• Possesses basic math skills.
• Understands basic machine operation.

About the Role

Position Summary: Under the direction of the Product Manager, the Assembler Operator, operates closure assembly machines, to produce finished goods according to customer/stock specifications. In addition, fill product hoppers from work-in-process (WIP) components. Performs quality checks, packages finished goods and manually palletize finished goods pallets according to the production order/customer specification.
