Assembler Level 3/4
About the role
The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for assembling passive microwave components using various hand tools in a secured environment. Tasks include repetitive and non-repetitive production assembly operations on mechanical assemblies such as antennas, filters, frames, and waveguide assemblies. Must be able to lift & carry 50 pounds, sit or stand for 4 hours at a time, work from drawings, work instructions, and routers. Capable of working with various hand tools, and measuring parts to +/-.002 for trimming. Ensure completed assignments are defect free and comply with drawing/work instructions.
Responsibilities
- Assemble passive microwave components using various hand tools in a secured environment.
- Perform a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on mechanical assemblies such as antennas, filters, frames, and waveguide assemblies.
- Lift & carry 50 pounds, sit or stand for 4 hours at a time.
- Work from drawings, work instructions, and routers.
- Measure parts to +/-.002 for trimming.
- Ensure completed assignments are defect free and comply with drawing/work instructions.
Requirements
- Assembler Level 3: High School diploma (or equivalent) with 4 years of experience in manufacturing, production, assembly or related field.
- Assembler Level 4: High School diploma (or equivalent) with years of experience in manufacturing, production, assembly or related field.
- Ability to manually tighten ¼ inch bolts to 120 inch pounds.
- Able to lift & carry 50 pounds and sit or stand for 4 hours at a time.
- Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. Government Clearance.
Qualifications
- Assembler Level 3: High School diploma (or equivalent) with 4 years of experience in manufacturing, production, assembly or related field.
- Assembler Level 4: High School diploma (or equivalent) with years of experience in manufacturing, production, assembly or related field.
- Ability to manually tighten ¼ inch bolts to 120 inch pounds.
- Able to lift & carry 50 pounds and sit or stand for 4 hours at a time.
- Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. Government Clearance.
Skills
- Computer literate.
- Machine shop and de-burring experience.
- Torch brazing and chromate experience.
- Strong oral & written communication skills and math skills.

Pay
Primary Level Salary Range: $51,400.00 - $85,600.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $61,100.00 - $101,800.00
Schedule
This position will be for A-Shift 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off.
