About the role
The Assembler I position within Moog's Space and Defense Group in Salt Lake City, UT is a dynamic opportunity for someone who enjoys solving technical challenges and contributing to innovative projects. Reporting directly to the Operations Supervisor, you will be part of a collaborative team working on an on-site, 9/80 schedule.
Responsibilities
- Read and understand electronic assembly/work instructions and accurately perform assembly tasks/procedures accordingly
- Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials
- Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies
- Uses basic hand tools, i.e. sockets, screwdriver, torque tools, wrenches etc.
- Measures and inspects throughout the assembly process to ensure products meet the specified requirements
- Reports on issues, malfunctions or defective parts
- Keeps accurate records of production quantities and time
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Supports other assembly teams/tasks/projects as needed
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED or formal training equivalency
- Prior experience assembling complex electrical/mechanical components strongly preferred
- Experience with mechanical parts/components/controls is preferred
- Basic/Intermediate computer skills
- Basic Math Skills
- Technical knowledge and ability to read blueprints, drawings etc.
