Assembler I

About the role

The Assembler I position within Moog's Space and Defense Group in Salt Lake City, UT is a dynamic opportunity for someone who enjoys solving technical challenges and contributing to innovative projects. Reporting directly to the Operations Supervisor, you will be part of a collaborative team working on an on-site, 9/80 schedule.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand electronic assembly/work instructions and accurately perform assembly tasks/procedures accordingly
• Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials
• Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies
• Uses basic hand tools, i.e. sockets, screwdriver, torque tools, wrenches etc.
• Measures and inspects throughout the assembly process to ensure products meet the specified requirements
• Reports on issues, malfunctions or defective parts
• Keeps accurate records of production quantities and time
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
• Supports other assembly teams/tasks/projects as needed

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED or formal training equivalency
• Prior experience assembling complex electrical/mechanical components strongly preferred
• Experience with mechanical parts/components/controls is preferred
• Basic/Intermediate computer skills
• Basic Math Skills
• Technical knowledge and ability to read blueprints, drawings etc.
