Position Overview
As part of the talented Stuart Operations team, you will assemble mechanical units, fabricated parts/components and/or electrical/electronic systems to make subassemblies, assemblies or complete units using hand tools, power tools, jigs, fixtures, and miscellaneous equipment.
Fits, aligns, calibrates, and adjusts parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product operating requirements; repairs units or products that have failed to meet requirements.
- Operate manual machines
- Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures
- Collections all material and equipment needed to begin the process
- Align material and put together parts to build more complex units
- Check output to ensure highest quality
- Maintain equipment in good condition
- Report on issues, malfunction or defective parts
- Maintain a safe work environment by following all company protocols, regulations and procedures
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimal related experience preferred as an assembler or similar role in a manufacturing setting
Preferred Qualifications
- Some experience as an assembler preferred
- Technical knowledge and ability to read assembly instructions and follow standard operation procedures
- Ability in using tools and machines
- Good understanding of quality control principles
- Good communication skills
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical condition
- Works well in a fast-paced team environment
Working Conditions
- While performing duties of the job, incumbent is required to stand for full shift; walk; sit; use hand to finger handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear
- Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Non-A/C work area; the noise level can periodically be higher than normal, hearing protection may be required
Pay Range
The anticipated pay range for this position is $16.00 - $20.00, hourly. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.
