Job Summary

The Assembler I position at Design Ready Controls involves performing various tasks related to the manufacturing of custom control panels. Responsibilities include verifying parts, assembling electrical panels, terminating wire ends, labeling, troubleshooting, and maintaining a safe work environment.

General Responsibilities

• Verify parts for assembly match the Bill of Materials
• Assemble electrical panels according to drawings
• Terminate wire ends and add terminals
• Prepare panels for testing and shipping
• Troubleshoot basic panel wiring
• Identify and implement process improvement measures
• Maintain a safe and efficient work area
• Implement 5S and Lean Manufacturing
• Aid in training measures

Required Skills and Abilities

• Use a computer to access job documentation and personal records
• Read contrasting colors and correctly identify wire size
• Use basic measurement tools and hand/power tools safely
• Perform basic math calculations
• Show strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
• Show integrity, a drive to learn, teamwork, safety focus, and customer focus

Physical Requirements

• Use hands to cut, strip, crimp, bend, and terminate wires
• Use hands to utilize hand tools, table-top tools, drills, torque tools
• Stand on feet or walk for 1-2 hours per shift
• Lift up to 10-25 lbs. frequently and up to 50-85 lbs. in team lifts

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive hourly pay ranging from $17.50 to $20.00 per hour
• Second shift differential of $0.50 per hour
• $1,000 retention bonus after 90 days and 1 year
