About the role

The role involves preparing the workspace, utilizing Windchill (PLM) and SAP systems, performing manual assembly of narrow-band radio products, and communicating job status to supervisors and engineers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare workspace with necessary parts and materials.
• Utilize Windchill (PLM) for job-related engineering drawings and test procedures.
• Perform manual assembly of narrow-band radio products according to WPIs.
• Review and adhere to BOM and engineering drawings.
• Communicate job status to supervisors and engineers.
• Utilize SAP for job-related and operational transactions.
• Carry out barcode scanning tasks.
• Connect entry-level products to test fixtures, operate and test software, troubleshoot, and identify test failures.
• Support Manufacturing cells as needed.
• May include select solder and/or performing post wave functions.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• One-year prior experience working in a manufacturing environment.

Desired Characteristics

• Prior electronics manufacturing experience.
• Prior experience with hand tools and small power tools.
• Able to recognize when to seek assistance from Test Engineering.
• Understanding of test equipment and software.
• Awareness to stop work if needed.
• Effective communication skills.
• Basic PC skills including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, Excel & Word.
• Ability to navigate GE network and GE specific software programs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• One-year prior experience working in a manufacturing environment.

Physical Environment & Work Environment

• Must be able to visually observe details at close range.
• May require lifting or moving objects up to [insert weight, e.g., 35 lbs.].
• Exposure to chemicals, solder, or other manufacturing materials.
• Exposure to noise, heat, and machinery.
• May involve repetitive motion and need to remain in a stationary position 50% of a work shift.
• May require working under deadlines or in a production-paced environment.

Pay

The pay for this position is $24.00/hour. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
