Schedule

Day shift, Monday through Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM.

Responsibilities

• Perform a safety inspection of hoist chains and all tools used to ensure safety.
• Use a huck gun, drill, and other handheld tools.
• Read and understand production and print orders.
• Read and understand a tape measure.
• Keep a clean and organized work area at all times.
• Drill and fasten components of the trailer together.
• Move components with carts, hoist, motorized trolleys, or by carrying them to the assigned station or stall.
• Retrieve and install fasteners using bobtail, daisy, magna-lock, bom, or huck handheld fastening guns.
• Use or learn to use basic hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, chisels, punch, wire cutters, pliers, cordless drills, and saws.
• Use or learn to use a caulk gun.

Requirements

• High school graduate or General Education Degree (GED).
• At least eighteen years of age.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Good attendance record.
• Willingness to learn.
• Ability to work well with others in a busy workplace.
• Functional vision (normal or corrected), hearing, and speech.
• Ability to report to work punctually at the beginning of the workday.
• Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer, including use of keyboard and mouse or alternative input devices.
• Ability to understand and follow safety rules and regulations.
• Ability to wear Personal Proteive Equipment (PPE): protective eyewear, hearing protection, hardhat, safety-toe boots, protective gloves (leather or otherwise).
• Ability to meet physical demands: maximum infrequent lift of 50 lbs, maximum occasional lift of 75 lbs.

Skills

• Average computer skills; ability to locate prints and enlarge them to clarify orders occasionally.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate clearly and concisely using the English language.
