Assembler 1 (Ledbetter Location)

Responsibilities

• Prepares work by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts list.
• Gathers parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
• Positions, parts, and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
• Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies.
• Verifies specifications by measuring completed components.
• Solves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications, notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: High School Diploma.
• Experience: 2+ years of warehouse experience (Inventory or Assembly).
• Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure (using whole numbers and decimals), ability to speak and read English, MRP experience is a plus.
• Personal Attributes: Basic attention to detail when working with numbers and inventory, ability to follow instructions and work in a structured warehouse environment.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Ability to stand, walk, and remain on feet for extended periods (up to 8–12 hours per shift).
• Frequent use of hands for assembling small to medium-sized components, including gripping, and handling.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials up to 25–50 lbs., with or without assistance.
• Repetitive motions involving hands, wrists, and arms throughout the shift.
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach overhead as needed.
• Visual acuity to inspect parts, read instructions, and identify defects.
• Ability to safely operate basic hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment.
• Fast-paced manufacturing or production floor environment.
• Exposure to moderate noise levels; hearing protection may be required in certain areas.
• Work may involve exposure to dust, fumes, or varying temperatures depending on the facility.
• Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toe boots.
• Work performed in close proximity to machinery and moving equipment.
• Adherence to strict safety, quality, and production standards.
• May require working overtime, weekends, or flexible shifts based on production needs.
