Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepares work by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists.
- Gathers parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
- Positions parts and subassemblies using templates or reading measurements.
- Assembles components by ensuring correct fit and securing parts and subassemblies.
- Verifies specifications by measuring completed components for accuracy and compliance.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience: Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
- MRP (Material Requirements Planning) experience is a plus.
- Skills: Basic mathematical skills, ability to read and interpret assembly instructions and blueprints, strong attention to detail, ability to use basic hand tools and measuring instruments.
- Personal Attributes: Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy, strong organizational skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, dependable and safety conscious.
- Stand for extended periods (often 8–12-hour shifts).
- Walk between workstations or production areas.
- Bend, stoop, kneel, or crouch as needed.
- Lift and carry materials commonly up to 50 lbs.
- Push/pull carts or equipment.
- Handle small parts with precision.
- Use hand and power tools repeatedly.
- Perform repetitive assembly tasks.
- Maintain consistent pace throughout shift.
