Responsibilities
- Assemble electronic and electro-mechanical components such as power supplies, modules, and cable harnesses
- Follow production drawings, schematics, and work instructions to complete assemblies
- Use hand tools and small power tools for component placement and wiring
- Inspect parts and perform basic tests to ensure quality standards
- Rework and repair defective units as needed
- Fitting, aligning, calibrating and adjusting parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product operating requirements
- Use grinding machines, drill press, and power drill as necessary during assembly
- Solder and de-solder through-hole and surface mount components using soldering iron and hot air techniques
- Work as a team member, reporting to a Leader on assembly status
- Communicate clearly and effectively
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow safety procedures
Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and carry heavy objects, and work in various environmental conditions
- Ability to work overtime as required to meet production goals
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years of relevant work experience
- Ability to assemble sheet metal covers, motion components, cast structures, wiring harnesses
- Ability to run programming scripts for product integration testing
- Basic fundamental computer operation skills
Skills
- Ability to work as a team member
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to operate a forklift (preferred)
