Assembler 1 - 1st Shift

About the role

The Precision Components division of Hanwha Aerospace USA is seeking an Assembler to join their team. This position involves assembling complex aerospace components, inspecting and verifying quality, and performing various tasks such as drilling, tapping, and positioning parts.

Responsibilities

• Assemble complex aerospace components
• Inspect and verify quality of work when complete
• Use micrometers and calipers to verify work performed is conforming to BP tolerance
• File and buff parts to fit
• Drill, tap, ream, countersink parts using a Bridgeport
• Position and align parts
• Bolts, screws, and rivets parts together
• Disassemble and replace parts as required
• Clean and lubricate parts and assemblies
• Lift pieces and position and secure them on a machine table or in holding fixtures
• Assist other assemblers and employees as required to meet production and safety requirements
• Perform daily 6S (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain, safety) activities in work area
• Perform other related duties or responsibilities as required

Requirements

• Must be a “U.S. Person” as defined by the U.S. Government and able to work without restrictions with ITAR related data
• High School Degree or G.E.D
• 1+ years of experience in assembly, preferably in a Aerospace Manufacturing environment

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering work instructions
