Essential Job Duties
The primary role of a mentor is to meet with the assigned student-athlete to develop and improve time management skills and productive study habits. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assist student-athletes to set academic goals (short and long term)
- Assist student-athletes with requesting Disability Services Office (DSO) accommodations, if needed
- EFFECTIVELY communicate in a TIMELY manner
- Participate in group training and supervision meetings

Requirements and Preferences
- Work Schedule: Ten hours weekly, days and evenings required (including Sundays)
- Department Required Skills: Must have the ability to relate to students who have a wide range of academic backgrounds, excellent communication and organization skills, a willingness to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment, and the ability to teach study skill and learning strategies
- Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education: Prefer one year of experience

- Anticipated Hiring Range: $13 - 17 per hour based on education/experience
