Responsibilities
- Communicate and promote safety compliance and environmental requirements in alignment with company standards
- Able to run mixing operations on the plant to ensure material quality and compliance with specification
- Ensure consistent production to meet daily orders
- Offloading hot asphalt oil
- To handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously, and deal effectively with people using a facilitative approach including scaling, ticketing and assist in asphalt orders
- Complete daily checklist, journal, and reports
- Continuously communicate with plant operators, truckers, quality control and dispatch
- Problem solving skills to help identify and resolve issues that arise
- Maintain aggregate stockpiles and liquid levels
- Responsible for maintaining good attendance and safety record and setting an example for others to follow
Requirements
- Proven work history of two (2) years or more experience in asphalt plant operation
- A high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Valid driver’s license
- Must be able to work day shifts and night shifts. Shifts may vary according to project demands
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions
- Must be willing to travel if job requires
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
