Asphalt Plant Loader Operator

Responsibilities

• Communicate and promote safety compliance and environmental requirements in alignment with company standards.
• Able to run mixing operations on the plant to ensure material quality and compliance with specification.
• Absorb consistent production to meet daily orders.
• Offload hot asphalt oil.
• Handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously, and deal effectively with people using a facilitative approach, including scaling, ticketing, and assist in asphalt orders.
• Complete daily checklist, journal, and reports.
• Continuously communicate with plant operators, truckers, quality control, and dispatch.
• Solve problems to help identify and resolve issues that arise.
• Maintain aggregate stockpiles and liquid levels.
• Maintain good attendance and safety record and set an example for others to follow.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Proven work history of two (2) years or more experience in asphalt plant operation.
• A high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Able to work day shifts and night shifts. Shifts may vary according to project demands.
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
• Willing to travel if job requires.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen.
