Asphalt Paving Foreman

Responsibilities

• Cook up all daily crew activities to maximize productivity and quality
• Perform work safely and take action to prevent any and all unsafe actions or behaviors
• Utilize HCSS Heavy Job to track daily quantities, use of production reports and daily timecards
• Maintain oversight of layout, placement, compaction of asphalt materials and ensure quality of working in all aspects of lay down operations
• Verify measurements, slope and thickness for compliance of specifications
• Handle other miscellaneous duties as directed by supervisor

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years construction experience with an emphasis on asphalt paving
• Valid driver’s license but a CDL is preferred
• Basic math skills
• Able to bend, stoop, lift, push, pull and stand for long periods of time
• Able to follow all safety procedures
• Able to work flexible shifts including days, nights, some weekends, and some travel is required
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check
