Asphalt Paving Crew

About the role

Knife River is seeking dependable Asphalt Paving Crew members to join our team. This position involves performing asphalt paving operations in various construction environments.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate the ability to safely and productively perform asphalt paving operations including operation of pavers, screeds, raking, shoveling and compacting asphalt on parking lots, streets, and highways.
• Establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with all personnel.
• Conduct daily equipment inspections to identify any safety and maintenance issues.

Requirements

• Must possess the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• A valid driver's license/CDL preferred, and a quality driving record under company policy.
• Successfully pass a post-offer pre-employment drug test and physical.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with the defined type of equipment.
• Ability to operate different types of equipment is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work safely and follow all company policies.
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions.

Skills

• Effective communication skills (verbal and written).
• Operate different types of asphalt paving equipment.
