About the role
Responsible for operating asphalt pavers to lay down smooth, even layers of asphalt for road construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Operate asphalt pavers to ensure accurate and consistent paving of roads and highways.
- Assist in loading and unloading materials as needed.
- Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Communicate effectively with other construction workers and supervisors.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license.
- At least 2 years of related work experience in construction or similar field.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and practices.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in using asphalt paver machinery.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
