Responsibilities
- Operate the Asphalt Distributor on Road Construction projects
- Set spray bar on manual, automatic, or semi-automatic distributors for applying liquid asphalt
- Oil, grease, service and make normal operating adjustments to equipment
- Perform minor servicing and maintenance or refer major problems to the supervisor
- Perform other related duties such as shovel work, setting string line, adding or removing screed extensions
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Must have a current CDL license, preferably with Tanker endorsement
- Must pass DOT physical/drug screen
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
