Duties and/or Responsibilities
- Perform daily equipment, walk around and site inspections to identify and correct any unsafe conditions and keep equipment properly maintained.
- Safely and properly perform maintenance (lubricating, fueling and cleaning) on truck.
- Safely and properly operate truck to spray oil or bituminous emulsions on road surfaces and ensure proper distribution.
- Maintain the proper temperature of the material and start auxiliary pump.
- Clean tac nozzles.
- Maintain proper information in truck cab pouch.
- Ensure MSHA, OSHA, EPA, DNR, safety and environmental regulation compliance.
- Always work safely and take action to prevent any and all unsafe actions, processes, and behaviors.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent GED is required or 1 year of previous experience.
- A Class A Commercial Driver’s License with tanker endorsement.
- Ability to hold and maintain proper licensure and acceptable driving record.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including overtime, possible nights and some Saturdays.
