ASP Assistant Instructor, Classified, Special Education (A806)

About the role

The ASP Assistant Instructor will support the Special Education program at Nickajack-ASP. The position involves assisting in the delivery of educational services to students with special needs under the supervision of licensed professionals.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing lesson plans and activities designed by Special Education teachers
• Provide one-on-one assistance to students as needed
• Participate in team meetings and professional development sessions
• Support the maintenance of a safe and inclusive learning environment

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Experience working with individuals with special needs is preferred
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Passion for supporting students with special needs

Skills

• Basic computer literacy
• Knowledge of special education best practices

Pay

$15.00 per hour

Schedule

Shifts from 2:30 PM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday
