ASN Clinical Assistant - PT

About the Role

The ASN Clinical Assistant coordinates, facilitates, administers, and monitors activities on behalf of the academic program and in coordination with academic and clinical Course Lead faculty. These activities ensure the quality of the student learning experience during clinical education.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the clinical education component of the curriculum with the Course Lead faculty.
• Facilitate students' clinical education and ensure clinical education program compliance.
• Supervise care provided by students at the clinical site during the rotation.
• Assist students on how to perform duties in the clinical site and answer student questions.
• Coordinate with facility staff on student patient assignments.
• Observe and review the students' clinical work in conjunction with the Course Lead.
• Provide timely feedback to students on their progress and meet with students to review, along with consultation from the Course Lead faculty.
• Communicate and oversee communication with the Course Lead faculty and students to monitor progress and assess students' performance.
• Provide guidance and support to problem solve and discuss students' concerns.
• Meet with students prior to clinical affiliations to disseminate information on clinical policies and procedures, clinical site information, clinical education philosophy, and objectives.
• Assess students' performance during clinical education in coordination with Course Lead faculty.
• Comply with site requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's in Nursing.
• RN license.
• 2 years of Nursing experience.
• Maternity and Pediatrics experience is preferred.
