Asleep Overnights DSP / Mental Health Specialist II

About the Role

Join our mission-driven team at Dungarvin, where you’ll provide person-centered support to individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities or complex medical needs. This position offers flexible scheduling, including asleep overnight shifts (paid at minimum wage) and awake hours (paid at a higher rate). You’ll work directly with individuals to help them live as independently as possible.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on care, assisting with daily activities such as personal care, meal preparation, transportation, housekeeping, and laundry while fostering independence.
• Create and maintain a safe, welcoming environment that supports individuals in reaching their personal goals.
• Mentor and guide individuals through supervision, positive reinforcement, and guidance to help them achieve their aspirations.
• Document care, follow support plans, and collaborate with internal and external team members using basic computer skills.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Passion for helping others and making a difference in their lives.
• Physical stamina to stay on your feet, walk, stand, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Basic computer skills for tracking progress and documentation.
• Strong reading, writing, and communication skills.

Pay

• Asleep overnight shifts: $11.41/hour (minimum wage).
• Awake hours: $18.50–$24/hour.

Schedule

• Variety of open full-time and part-time schedules, including weekends and holidays.
