About the role

A Chinese Food Cook prepares food with a focus on quality in our Chinese food area of the delicatessen. You'll work with various cooking tools, utensils, and products to create mixes, sauces, meals, and more. Beyond cooking, you'll help ensure shelves are stocked and cooking areas are safe, neat, and clean. The role also involves managing kitchen inventory and ordering supplies. Customer engagement is key, with an emphasis on providing fast and friendly service.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook Chinese cuisine following recipes and quality standards
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of cooking areas and shelves
• Manage inventory and order ingredients and supplies
• Provide fast and friendly customer service
• Adapt to varying kitchen environments (e.g., freezer, fridge, prep areas)

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older
• Previous experience providing great customer service
• Enthusiasm for cooking and following recipes
• Pride in your work, regardless of task size
• Ability to adapt to different environments
• Commitment to being an engaged community member
