Aseptic Processing Operator

About the role

As part of the Anything for Baby team at Gerber Products Company, a world leader in nutrition, health, and wellness for children from birth to preschool, you will maintain aseptic processing and filler operations. This role involves setting up process skids and fillers for recipe-specific parameters, monitoring operations, completing documentation, and troubleshooting process failures or alarms. Rotation among stations is common, and you will be responsible for maintaining housekeeping, sanitation, and compliance with safety and quality standards. The position requires physical exertion, critical thinking, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while protecting process sterility.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Aseptic Processing operations by setting up process skids for recipe-specific parameters and product flow, monitoring processing operations, completing all processing documentation, and troubleshooting process failures or alarms.
• Maintain Aseptic Filler operations by setting up the filler for recipe-specific parameters, monitoring filling operations, completing documentation, and troubleshooting process failures and alarms.
• Perform In-Process Quality checks according to the QMS and complete quality documentation, recording results in Zontec.
• Maintain housekeeping and sanitation, including Aseptic CIP, Aseptic COP, Aseptic SIP, and general area upkeep. Transition operations between cleaning and production.
• Perform intermittent preventative maintenance, minor repairs, valve services, and equipment changes, including lifting parts and modifying piping.
• Order and return production materials using the SAP system, stage materials, and ensure proper storage.
• Troubleshoot and resolve processing errors to protect the sterility of the process, exercising critical thinking and quick action.
• Direct or coordinate the work of other technicians as needed.
• Comply with all Nestlé programs and policies, including SHE (Safety, Health & Environment), ME (Manufacturing Excellence), TPM (Total Performance Management), GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), and Safety Policies.
• Meet all requirements related to NMS (Nestlé Management System) and ISO standards for Quality, Food Safety, Environmental Compliance, and Occupational Health and Safety.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 months of relevant work experience.
• Preferred: 3 years’ experience in food manufacturing or other manufacturing settings.
• On-the-job training (OJT) and classroom study recommended for education on Aseptic processes, advanced Filler operations, and troubleshooting skills.
• Prior experience in food processing is preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with occasional challenges in keeping up with the work pace.
• Physical ability to perform tasks requiring intermittent to moderate exertion, including valve services, preventative maintenance, and equipment changes.

Pay

$27.62 per hour. The pay range provided is a good faith estimate at the time of posting; final compensation may vary based on factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, and geographic location. This position is bonus-eligible.
