ASE Certified Technician

Duties & Responsibilities

• Affirms that the MACs are properly maintained.
• Provides training for inspectors.
• Ensures performance of covert vehicles, including the setup and testing failures of covert audit vehicles.
• Evaluates waiver requests and hardship extension requests.
• Evaluates kit cars.
• Evaluates vehicles referred to the MAC (readiness, targeted, etc.).
• Visually inspects vehicles presented for repair waivers to determine whether the repair work has been done.
• Responds to test interruption and hotline calls.
• Assists Registered Repair Stations diagnosing vehicles that have problems with emissions.
• Performs other tasks as assigned by the Management staff.

Requirements

• ASE L1 Certified Technician.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a motorist assistance center or similar environment.
• Knowledge of vehicle diagnostics and repair.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

$64,000 - $66,000 annually

Monday - Friday 8:00am-5:00pm; includes occasional Saturdays
