Ascent Lounge Bartender

Responsibilities

• Takes orders from guests seated at the bar area, offering interesting and vivid descriptions of each item’s origin, taste, and preparation methods.
• Maintains a working knowledge of liquors, wines, beers, ports, armagnacs, eau de vies, cognacs, and specialty drinks.
• Prepares and serves a selection of wines, spirits, and mixed drinks from the menu, ensuring proper pouring, mixing, and blending according to established recipes and Four Seasons Standards.
• Maintains and controls a high level of guest service by ensuring consistent and thoughtful service.
• Follows state and city alcohol laws while adhering to Four Seasons service standards.
• Confirms guest orders, including any special needs or requests from the lounge server, using the hotel’s point-of-sales system; checks completed orders with the guest’s original order.
• Performs additional side duties, such as properly and accurately closing guest checks, processing cash and credit card payments, and settling voided checks or complimentary items.

Qualifications

• Excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills.
• A confident outgoing personality and a can-do approach to any request.
• A flexible schedule with the ability to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Continuous standing for up to 8 hours a day and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• One to two years of experience in a luxury resort.
• Fluent English.
• A strong commitment to service.
