About the role

The ASC Scrub Tech is responsible for assisting the surgeon during surgical procedures. This includes preparing the operating room, setting up instruments and supplies, and maintaining sterile conditions throughout the procedure.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the operating room and sets up instruments and supplies according to the surgeon’s needs.
• Maintains sterile conditions throughout the procedure.
• Assists the surgeon during the procedure as needed.
• Cleans and disinfects surgical instruments and equipment after each use.
• Collaborates with other members of the surgical team to ensure smooth operation of the procedure.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Iowa driver’s license.
• Experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects.

Skills

• Knowledge of sterile technique.
• Basic understanding of surgical procedures.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Schedule

Hours are typically Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM, with occasional evening and weekend shifts as needed.
