ASC Pre-Admission Testing Nurse

Responsibilities

• Maintain the confidentiality of medical information.
• Responsible for chart and surgery schedules reviews.
• Facilitates an efficient, clinically effective interface between the patient and the health care team to ensure quality, customer focused preadmission testing processes prior to surgery.
• Provides patient assessment, education, and the development of a plan of care.
• Functions as a liaison between all members of the health care team internally and externally to ensure coordination of quality patient care.
• Interviews, receives, instructs, reassures, and comforts patients.
• Explains treatment procedures, medications, and physician's instructions to patients and caregiver(s).
• Constantly communicates with the patients regarding their surgeries.

Requirements

• Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Rhode Island.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in healthcare setting.
• Clinical skills, documentation skills, and excellent communication skills.
• Computer skill proficiency in EHR, Microsoft word, and outlook.
• Excellent interpersonal skills including telephone etiquette.
• Motivated individual with a team approach.
• Must be able to travel to all sites if/when necessary.
