ASC Clinical Director - RN

Responsible for the day-to-day clinical operation and oversight of the Center, including planning, organizing, delegating, coordinating, staff utilization, resource allocation, cost controls, and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons by ensuring adequately prepared service team members.
• Delegate responsibilities and duties to professional, technical, and ancillary personnel.
• Evaluate the performance of all department personnel.
• Coordinate administrative duties to ensure proper staff functioning.
• Coordinate the provision and control of materials, supplies, and equipment with the Director of Supply.
• Oversee activity within the O.R. suite.
• Perform other responsibilities or activities as determined by the facility Administrator.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in procedures and the operating room, PACU, or Pre-Admission in an endoscopic or surgical setting.
• GI experience required.
• Prefer one year of management experience in ambulatory care.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Current RN license from the State.
• Current BCLS certification.

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, guidelines, and regulations.
• Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from customers, staff, physicians, and regulatory agencies.
• Ability to effectively present information to staff, management, and physicians.
• Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to intellectual and practical problems.
• Ability to work with nonverbal symbolism (e.g., formulas, scientific equations, graphs, medical notes).
• Ability to deal with abstract and concrete variables.
