ASC Administrator

Job Summary

The primary officer solely responsible for managing the Red Hills Surgery Center (RHSC) and the Coastal Tides Surgery Center (CTSC). Leads the clinical, fiscal, and overarching operations of both facilities, its employees, and the care administered.

Reports To

Chief Health Ops Officer/VP

Supervises

• ASC [Ambulatory Surgery Center] Dir Financial Ops.
  • Non-Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare (TMH) employees (e.g., nursing leaders and staff members).

Required Education

Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited educational institution

Required Experience

Three (3) years of perioperative registered nursing experience

Required Certification/License/Registry

• Licensed as a registered nurse (RN) in accordance with Florida Statutes (FS), Title XXXII (Regulation of Professions and Occupations), Chapter 464 (Nurse Practice Act).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Red Cross (ARC) or American Heart Association (AHA).
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the ARC or AHA within three (3) months post-hire.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the ARC or AHA within three (3) months post-hire.
• Certified Administrator Surgery Center (CASC) credential from the Board of Ambulatory Surgery Certification (BASC) within twelve (12) months post hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of the nursing process.
• Knowledge of perioperative care.
• Knowledge of patient rights.
• Familiarity with the basic nursing performance standards as outlined in the Nurse Practice Act.
