About the role

The Artistry & Education Manager leads the day-to-day Artistry & Education function, creating a cohesive education library and system for both Seint Artists and customers. Reporting to the VP of Artists, Education & Events, this role is responsible for turning department vision and business priorities into effective education that strengthens artistry, product knowledge, and confidence across the Seint community. This role requires a strong combination of professional makeup artistry, education, creativity, and program management, with the ability to independently lead initiatives from concept through execution.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the creation, day-to-day development and execution of the Artistry & Education program, translating department goals and priorities into actionable plans, programming, and deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain the Artistry & Education strategy and calendar, supporting ongoing education, product launches, Artist development, customer education, and broader company initiatives.
  • Build and manage a cohesive library of written and visual education for Artists and customers, including tutorials, demonstrations, training, guides, product education, and other educational resources.
  • Proactively identify gaps, needs, and opportunities within Artistry & Education and develop recommendations, resources, and programming to address them.
  • Develop education for a range of skill levels, from foundational product knowledge and application through advanced artistry techniques, ensuring education is approachable, accurate, inclusive, and consistent.
  • Lead the planning and execution of Artistry & Education content, including concepts, scripts, shot lists, tutorials, demonstrations, educational shoots, and supporting materials.
  • Build and manage a diverse network of part-time consultant or project-based artists and educators, coordinating and directing talent for educational content, training, events, and other initiatives.
  • Partner with Product Development to align education around new and existing products, including application techniques, product pairings, tips, FAQs, troubleshooting, and launch education.
  • Partner with Artist Relations to understand field needs and develop ongoing education that strengthens Artist product knowledge, artistry skills, and ability to successfully educate their customers.
  • Develop customer-facing education that makes products and application techniques easy to understand and helps increase customer confidence and product success.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Development, Artist Relations, Marketing, Creative, Social, Customer Experience, and Events to ensure Artistry & Education supports broader company priorities and remains consistent across touchpoints.
  • Stay current on makeup artistry, beauty trends, techniques, products, and education formats, bringing forward new ideas and opportunities to continually strengthen the Artistry & Education program.

Qualifications

  • Makeup artistry experience required.
  • Strong understanding of complexion products, color theory, application techniques, tools, and beauty industry standards.
  • Experience teaching, training, coaching, or developing beauty education.
  • Comfortable presenting and demonstrating makeup techniques on camera and in person.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to explain technical or artistic concepts in a simple, approachable way.
  • Strong organizational and project-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and collaborators.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with creative, marketing, product, events, and community teams.
  • Strong understanding of social media and modern beauty content.
  • Ability to balance creativity with business priorities.
  • Experience working with beauty brands, professional cosmetics, online-selling experiences, affiliate communities, or direct-to-consumer beauty is a plus.
