About the role
Foothills is seeking an Art Instructor to teach adult pottery classes. The position requires planning, preparing, and teaching students how to use tools and raw materials properly while encouraging creativity and individuality.
Responsibilities
- Plan and prepare lessons for adult pottery classes
- Teach students how to use tools and raw materials safely and effectively
- Encourage students to express their creativity and individuality
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed during classes
Requirements
- Three (3) years experience teaching ceramic pottery
- Dependable and able to work flexible hours
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Performing Arts, or related field
- Five (5) years of on-going experience in ceramic pottery
- Completed an apprenticeship
- Possesses extensive knowledge of ceramic pottery equipment

About Us
We fulfill our mission by providing a variety of recreational services, programs, and activities for both youth and adults. We operate three recreation centers, two golf courses, a two-sheet ice arena, swimming pools, and two indoor sports facilities. In addition, we maintain 68 park sites and over 30 miles of trails.
